has experienced her own unique career and personal transitions. She was born and raised in Scotland, and is now a dual citizen of Britain and the US. Val brings more than 10 years of management and consulting experience to Career Potential, including top-level assignments with two Fortune 500 corporations. She is highly accomplished in career coaching, sales, customer service, training, quality standards, high performance teams, and communications
Upon arriving in the US, Val decided to change careers and support others who were facing similar challenges and seeking professional and personal fulfillment. She became a consultant and coach, supporting international assignees in professional transition into the US and around the world.
Val has developed training programs, presented at international conferences and authored articles relating to understanding and communicating across cultures, spousal career issues, adjusting to living abroad, and international assignment success.
Val graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a Masters in History, and received a post graduate diploma in Business Administration from the Scottish Business School at the University of Edinburgh. She is also a graduate of the internationally renowned Coach University coach training program, and is a certified coach with the International Coach Federation.
